The Experience

Cumberland Island’s 18 miles of pristine beach are less than a mile’s walk or bike ride from Greyfield. Soak up the sun on our beach chairs or read in the shade under an umbrella. The Atlantic is comfortably swimmable from April through September, though some guests give the nod for March and October. Walk the high tideline to search for olive shells, driftwood, sand dollars and sharks teeth. Count shorebirds, go for a run, fish in the surf, or simply enjoy the luxury of an uncrowded beach.
