There is something quietly beautiful about summer at Greyfield and on the island. Mornings arrive softly through the live oaks. Afternoons drift by with the hum of cicadas and the rhythm of the tide. And as evening settles in, a coastal breeze reminds us why island summers have always felt like something special. This season, we are introducing a few thoughtful additions, designed to make summer stays even more relaxing and restorative.
Beach Shuttle Service
From June 1 – September 15, 2026, guests will enjoy a complimentary beach shuttle with three round-trips daily from the Greyfield compound, going over the dunes and to Greyfield Beach.
It’s a simple addition, but one that allows you to move more gently and comfortably through the day. No rushing. No timing the heat. Just effortless access to the beach whenever the mood strikes.
The schedule will be shared upon your arrival to Greyfield.
Picnic Dinners at Dusk
Summer evenings may be our favorite time on the island. In celebration of those cooler twilight hours, we are now offering a picnic dinner option as an alternative to our traditional in-house dinner service.
Prepared daily by our chefs and thoughtfully packed in insulated backpack coolers, each picnic includes everything you need for a comfortable evening outdoors – from linens and utensils to a blanket for the sand. Optional wine pairings by the bottle may be added.
Guests simply choose their preferred dinner style at least 48 hours prior to arrival, and we’ll take care of the rest.
It’s a beautiful way to experience Cumberland – unhurried, quiet, and entirely your own.
