The Experience

Greyfield’s team of naturalists offer a variety of island tours every day, with something to interest everyone, from history buffs to botanists. Ride in the back of our custom naturalist’s truck on the way to view the secrets of Cumberland: historical ruins, wild horses, and lush maritime forests. Daily tour schedules are posted every afternoon at 4 PM (to plan for the following day’s adventures), or ask a staff member about the day’s adventures. For guests who want to experience the outing to the north end of the island, we highly recommend you stay three nights as we can not guarantee this outing for those guests staying two nights. This outing can take up to 4 hours and traverses the bumpy roads on the island. Travel is slow, but beautiful and interesting, along these roads. This outing is typically offered only two times a week. Outings operate year round and are included in your stay.
